A beautifully lightweight poncho in a tweed effect yarn that's so tactile and comfortable against the skin. Great for travelling as it takes up very little room and is of course lightweight too! An elegant cover up on a chilly evening, or a throwover with jeans and a t-shirt, which ever way you choose to wear it this asymmetric poncho will become a  wardrobe staple.
 
Knitted with a fine merino, silk and nylon yarn and decorated with one of my unique handmade buttons filled with Scottish heather. Each button is individually hand made making each one unique and may vary slightly from the photo.
 
Merino wool - Great for all year round, merino is one of my favourite yarns. Why I love merino wool - Light and airy, merino wool is a beautiful natural fibre, soft to the skin and it breathes naturally. Merino wool reacts to your body temperature, keeping you cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather, the perfect fibre.
 
Silk - silk is just luxury in a word and so comfortable to wear, it gives the poncho a lovely drape and alters the texture of the yarn to create a very tactile and soft to the skin poncho. It's also one of the strongest natural fibres and lightweight, breathable and hypoallergenic.
 
This design was inspired by the colours and textures of the Scottish Highlands, from strong colours of seaweed clinging to the rocks on the shoreline to the beauty of the old croft houses sitting beneath blue skies.
